Aloha Mālamapōkiʻi ʻOhana,
Latest School Closure Update:
In Governor Ige's COVID-19 press conference on Friday, April 17, the HIDOE Superintendent announced that all Hawaii State Publics Schools will stay closed for the remainder of the school year 2019-2020. Mālamapōkiʻi will be following the Hawaii Department of Education mandate.
We are tentatively planning for Mālamapōkiʻi kumu to physically return to work mid-June for planning and we will offer Kindergarten Readiness and Enrichment Camps for students in July. More information will be provided in June. We are hoping to start School Year 2020-2021 on August 3 with a staggered schedule, for example: Group A would attend Monday and Tuesday, Group B would attend Wednesday and Thursday and all students would attend on Friday. Regular tuition payments will resume when school starts in August.
Mahalo nui for your understanding and patience.
Nancy Levenson, Mālamapōkiʻi Director
